For any of you who don't know me, Halloween is one of the things I get MOST excited about all year. It's almost as good as Christmas; Christmas has presents and nogs and Frank Sinatra records on repeat, sure, but Halloween lets me play dress-up.
Let's pretend it's part of my literary inclinations for that to be as monumentally important as it, in fact, is to me.
Out of some horrific miscalculation, I've never gone as Margot Tenenbaum before. I know, I'm embarrassed for me, too. But I'm planning to rectify that this year.
That's where you come in.
Here's the original I'm working with:
...and because I'm possibly ACTUALLY insane, I have two different blonde-mink(ish) coat options.
The first I picked up in LA five years (or so) back, and at the time I was pissed it cost me $25, mainly because that was a firm price the thrit store people wouldn't bargain on. Now, I think getting anything for $25 in LA was a major achievement, so go, me:
You'll notice I'm looking all sad for effect. You'll also notice the wrists are a little on the short side. The whole thing is, really. Whatever, it would be easy to belt.
Option two is my grandmother's actual blonde mink, which has the benefit (and drawback) of being actual fricking mink:
Neither is showing super well in the photos, because I'm tech inept and just took these from a distance with my computer camera, but hopefully you get the idea.
So...which is more Margot? Option 1 or option 2?
I'm pondering, but I'd truly welcome your opinion:
